In Croatia and France by DESIGN

How to design for the circular economy - talk to us.

Our work with clients who want to improve the sustainability of their products often involves some aspect of design. Oakdene Hollins is not a product design specialist so we team up with those who are – but to do that effectively for our clients we need to keep up to date with the latest thinking.

In May, our MD David Fitzsimons was in Paris for the CE100 accelerator event and saw the rich contribution made by IDEO to the aims of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. He then travelled to Cavat in Croatia to speak at the DESIGN 2016 conference about the way in which the recovery of products for remanufacture is being embedded in some new circular economy business models.

“The pace of innovation in this space is quickening, says David. "The IoT (internet of things) has become the single most important driver for those aiming to take market share from incumbents in B2B markets in particular.”
